The Astros finished the year outside of postseason contention, ending a long playoff streak, but the season reflected an organization in transition rather than decline. Defensive execution, situational hitting, and moments of strong starting pitching highlighted the club’s ability to compete on a nightly basis. As roles shifted and opportunities opened, 2025 became a year that tested depth, adaptability, and the next phase of the Astros’ identity.
